IMI Krav Maga (Ne’emanei Imi) was established in1987 by James Keenan, a direct student of Imi Lichtenfeld, the founder of Krav Maga, and is the oldest Krav Maga school in New England, and one of the three oldest schools on the East Coast. The Merrimack Valley Dojo, located in Londonderry, NH is headed by Joseph Estee, a Master level instructor who has trained within Mr. Keenan’s system since 1995.
Classes are taught directly by Mr. Estee and his black belt level instructors. Class structure focuses on situational self-defense and combative principles. Students are guided through a variety of attack and self-defense scenarios, learning how to deal with them quickly and effectively using principles and proven techniques from the Israeli combat system of Krav Maga created by Imi Lichtenfeld. All training takes place in a SAFE and CONTROLLED environment, as the safety of the student is the primary focus for the class.
This is not an exercise class, nor does it have any element of sport. The focus of this class is to teach the system and principles of self-defense.
No previous experience or special equipment necessary, and classes are open to all levels, from beginners to advanced.

Baguazhang is both an internal power system and an advanced combative art—a synthesis of structure, strategy, and energy. Rooted in circular stepping and spiraling motion, it trains practitioners to link the entire body as one unified, moving unit, where every joint and angle contributes to effortless power. Each movement blends offense and defense, allowing smooth redirection of force, angle control, and adaptation against multiple opponents.
Unlike arts built on memorized technique, Bagua develops relational skill—a dynamic exchange of timing, intent, and awareness. Through training in the Eight Palms, circle-walking, and principle-based partner games, students learn to express internal mechanics along with a calm mind, coiled strength, and decisive execution.
At its highest level, Baguazhang becomes a living study of balance between stillness and motion, yielding and entering, intent and energy. It refines the body for combat—and the spirit for mastery.

Yang style Taijiquan is the most popular and widely practiced style of taiji in the world today. The founder of Yang-style was Yang Lu-Ch’an aka Yang Fu-k’ui (1799-1872) who studied under Ch’en Chang-hsing in 1820. Yang became a teacher in his own right, and his subsequent expression of t'ai chi ch'uan became known as the Yang-style, and directly led to the development of other three major styles of t'ai chi ch'uanMaster Zhang Luping used to say that Yang style was the easiest one for beginners to develop power and it seems to be true. There are many different kinds of Yang style, long and short. Yang style is a good style for someone just starting out whose body is not in very good shape yet.
